Checkbox and switch
Checkboxes are saved with a form. Switches take effect right away.
Both are yes/no choices. The difference is when the change happens.
When to use
- Checkbox: options in a form that's saved with a button, and selecting rows in a table
- Switch: settings that apply instantly, like turning a feature on
When not to use
- A switch inside a form with a Save button
- Negative labels like “Don't send email”
