A clear label above every field, with help or an error right below it.
Text inputs and text areas share one look: a visible label above, the input, then a short hint or error underneath.
Shown on the payment order.
Must be greater than zero.
When to use
- Input for one line: names, codes, amounts
- Text area for notes and descriptions; it grows as you type
- A hint in grey, or an error in red that says how to fix it
When not to use
- A placeholder instead of a label; the placeholder is only an example value
- Errors that only say “Invalid”
